TO ALL THE YOUTH
Related to country: Kenya

My dear youths,
You Kenyan youths you have heard that we are tommorow's leaders but I say unto you that we are todays' leaders. Ours is today, not tommorow. The 2007 general elections are barely months ahead. The politicians have it that they will use the youth to unleash violence, to do their dirty work and fight their battles for them. I say awy with them. There is a dawn of a new era. The dawn of the Kenyan youth. Harken to this letter my brethren. I don't want to be disappointed when after the elections I read this script and find that the youth had ears but they never listened, they had eyes but they never saw. Let us not be like sheep led to the slaughter houses.
Let us arise from the ashes. We are hills that cannot be hidden. We are light that must inevitably despel darkness. We are the salt of this world, the saltiness of new ideas and new thoughts. We are young and strong. We rejuvinate the world with our strength and virility. We are mountains that to look at us, you must look up. We are the rest that the world looks for. in our eyes there is something new lurking in the background looking for avenue to exit our boundless mind, to come to the limiting worl. We are waves of change that sweep across the vast ocean that we call earth bringing good tidings to all and sundry.I
t is pointless to keep us in a prison. It is useless to bind us in the fetters of tradition, supersititon and old ways of thought. we are unconquerable, unfathomable and unlimited. We yearn to be free like birds. we yearn to be proud as eagles scaling through the open sky. we must never lose sight of this. we must not let another tell us any different. we must forge foward like an army advancing towards enemy territory sounding the cry of victory for an already won battle.

To all youth, remember that failure is not when a man falls but when he fails to rise up.
yours youthfully

Youths and Politics.
Yes William,we are ctually the leaders of today and Kenya youths have alot of potential. Lets keep on taking action rather than requesting to be heard. Our potential as we ahve proven in this era is immense so lets make good use of it ranging from areas of politics and governance, community development, economic development and empowerment.

You are very right. I just want to add the word women to yor QUOTE to read, "to all youth, remember that failure is not when a man or a woman falls but when he or she fails to rise up" to make it a little gender balanced. Thanks a lot.
